- The shore of the Arctic Ocean is only accessible by guided tour, because the oil fields between there and Deadhorse Alaska are privately owned. We’ll take a tour up to the shore, and hopefully join the Polar Bear Club by dipping into the Arctic Ocean!
- During the summer more than 160 trucks use the Dalton Highway every day, many of which are over 100 tons in weight. They kick up so much gravel that most car rental companies in the area don’t allow their cars onto that highway.
